Work Crew

Yes, it will be hard work, but there's a big payoff — changed lives — yours and the kids you influence.

Summer Work Crew

It's not often in life that we get to evaluate our purpose, map out our future and reflect on our past. As a volunteer on work crew at a Young Life camp, you'll have the chance to grow personally and spiritually — you'll be surrounded by other people from all over the world who, like yourself, really want their life to count for something.

You'll have a chance to try new things and to spend a month at one of the most beautiful places on God's earth. You'll also be challenged to take your faith to a new level and learn how to serve like Jesus did thousands of years ago

Work crew is the volunteer experience for those in high school. To be eligible you must have completed one year of high school and complete your local area's work crew training course.

At Breakaway Lodge, the work crew will serve alongside the kitchen crew in preparing meals, setting of the dining hall, cleaning after meals, maintaining the lodge, and yard work.

Our work crew has an important role here at Breakaway. They are the back bone of the Lodge. If you are interested in doing work crew, contact your local Young Life Area

School Season Work Crew

We require groups bring 1-5 helpers who will devote their time to becoming our "work crew" (work crew are compensated the camp fee). These folks will help prepare, set, serve and bus the meals for your guests. It is an awesome opportunity to serve and spend a weekend working hard for the benefit of others.

Groups can find their work crew sources in parents, teenagers, family members or other members from your church or group who are interested in being part of your retreat weekend. This is a great way to be involved with your group while serving them.
