Young Life Summer

This summer nearly 600 students will discover camping at Breakaway Lodge. Along with the amazing people you will meet, the staff and leaders will keep your day full of games, challenges and off-site excursions. There will be plenty of time to spend with your new friends and enjoy one of the greatest areas in the Pacific Northwest.

During the school season, we host a number of church groups, student ministries, school groups and more. Our openings and availability are limited during the summer, but contact our office to inquire about open summer dates.

Summer Camping

In the summer, our camps are full of middle school kids from Young Life areas all over the Northwest. If a week at a Young Life camp sounds exciting to you, contact your local area office to find out how to sign up.

Leading a Summer Trip

The sun's bright; the water's cool; and everyone is geared up about showing our middle school friends the best time of their lives. So, if you're bringing your kids here this summer, be prepared for an action-packed week.

Speaking of being prepared, here are a few things that will help in making your camp trip a successful one. Primarily, be aware of the tools available to you on the Web.

  • The Young Life Staff Resources Site offers a wealth of supportive information for WyldLife leaders and trip leaders. Whether you need forms, promotional materials or supplies, you can find what you need on this site.
  • Similarly, the camp reservation site makes information regarding summer spots and dates available at the click of a mouse.
  • That's not all; there's also an eLearning Course for WyldLife camping that is available online. It's not only quick and easy; it's extremely informative.
  • Finally, please remember to reference the camping handbook. It is a great source of information for you to utilize as you plan your camp trip. It offers step-by-step counsel on how to plan and conduct a successful camp trip. It also has specific details regarding each of the camps (including Breakaway Lodge).

  • If you are bringing newly-minted seventh graders to one of Breakaway Lodge's "6th Grade Camps", be sure to request our helpful hints on planning a successful trip and preparing your leaders to care for these younger campers.

As always, though, please remember that the office staff at Breakaway Lodge is more than happy to help. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Young Life and Breakaway Lodge maintain the highest level of safety and standards in operation of all of our activities at camp.

Breakaway Lodge's waterfront program is operated and supervised by trained and experienced staff. Your child will be in good hands while at Breakaway Lodge.

In the event of an unexpected accident, there is always a qualified medical professional on call to tend to your child's needs. Also, if needed, the local hospital is only a short drive away.
